Give with your heart
Thank you to all of the staff, students and parents of the Toronto Catholic District School Board for making The Angel Foundation for Learning Give with Your Heart Week such a success! Schools and students across the TCDSB participated in the various activities recommended by the Foundation to demonstrate the virtue of love and kindness throughout the week.
Thank you to all of the secondary schools who participated in Civvies Day and collected food items for neighbouring Breakfast Programs.
Thank you to all of the elementary schools who sent in their “self portraits.” The portraits received will be used to create one large mural for display in the Atrium at CEC.
At CEC, a special Prayer Service was held on Monday, February 9, 2009 to launch the event. Associate Director, Academic Affairs Angela Gauthier read the Proclamation made by the TCDSB. A special thank you to Steve Carey, Joan Daly-Martin, Ralph Peters and Father Michael Lehman for preparing a wonderful and memorable service. The Foundation would also like to thank Religious Resource Teacher, Cathy Profiti for her tremendous assistance with this worthwhile event.
