GUARDIAN ANGEL FUNDS

The Angel Foundation for Learning raises funds to assist individual students who have emergency needs that are beyond their family’s means.

All students should have equal access to warm clothing, food, hearing aids, eyeglasses, epi-pens, and other necessities for life and for their education.

Please note:

  • These funds are for only available to Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) students demonstrating financial need.
  • The child’s school principal, vice-principal or social worker may initiate the application.
  • These funds do not provide money for items that are the responsibility of the school or school board, such as textbooks, school uniforms, bus tickets, school supplies or equipment.

Social Work Emergency Fund

This fund aims to provide students with basic necessities, including food vouchers, clothing and Epi-pens. Read more…

This fund will be available for several TCDSB students whose families, due to exceptional circumstances, require financial assistance and/or other support to promote their health and well-being. Read more…

The Angel Foundation for Learning Camp Fund in honour of Maureen O’Neil

In Maureen’s work with us, she has always had a special interest in raising funds to provide needy students with a summer camp experience. This Summer Camp Fund will begin to address the financial needs of these students. This fund will be available for TCDSB students who require financial assistance to attend summer camp.  Read more…

The Melina De Meneghi Vision Fund

Mrs. De Meneghi was a firm believer that education is paramount and that no child should have to go without because of a disability or financial obstacle. This fund will be available for TCDSB students who require financial assistance to pay for prescription eyeglasses. Read more…

Reliable Life Fund

This emergency fund provides money for a student’s medical necessities that may be a result of a schoolyard accident or other medical requirements, where the family is not able to provide the necessary funds to meet the student’s needs. Read more…

Loblaw “Kids See Free” Eyeglasses Fund

This fund provides one pair of free eyeglasses to a child, aged 19 or under, with a valid eyeglass prescription issued within the past 365 days. Read more…

The Loretto Fund

This fund aims to offset the costs for recent immigrants to Canada in order to allow them participate in school events, including, but not limited to: leadership activities, orientation camps, sports events, retreats, field trips, seminars and compliance with school dress code. Read more…

The AFL Arts Fund in honour of Bob Wilson

TCDSB students demonstrating artistic ability in Visual Arts, Music, Drama or Dance can apply for up to $500 to develop their talents. The Angel Foundation for Learning wants all students to have the ability to develop their artistic talents regardless of the family’s ability to pay for lessons or materials. Read more…
