Norman Forma Bursary is awarded to Jean Vanier and Cardinal Newman Students

The Angel Foundation for Learning is proud to announce that Melissa Hadaway of Jean Vanier C.S.S. and Jan Christopher Lao De Guzman of Cardinal Newman C.S.S. are the recipients of the Norman Forma Bursary 2007-2008.

Melissa and Jan are recognized for their outstanding academic and personal achievements despite their hearing loss. The selection committee made up of Educators in TCDSB’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program were impressed with Melissa and Jan Christopher’s essay submission. Both Melissa and Jan Christopher are attending college in the fall and pursuing the Child and Youth Worker Program.

Administered by The Angel Foundation for Learning, the Norman Forma Bursary is presented annually to a graduating student who is deaf and hard of hearing. The bursary, in recognition of academic achievement, provides financial support in the amount of $500 towards post-secondary education at the university or college level.
