Bob Wilson Fund for the Arts

To honour the memory of Bob Wilson, a former staff member of the TCDSB, The Angel Foundation for Learning is pleased to announce three arts-related initiatives.
Bob was an avid supporter of the Arts, encouraging both students and staff to be actively involved in the performing arts.

Thanks to a generous bequest on Bob’s part, The Angel Foundation for Learning has undertaken three initiatives that will honour Bob’s memory and provide, for TCDSB students, annual opportunities to be actively involved in the Arts.

This enrichment program:
Fosters a love of the Arts
Promotes excellence in the Arts
Provides an opportunity for students to enjoy the Arts and develop artistically
Enhances personal and spiritual growth through the Arts
Develops a sense of community through participation in live performances

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Bob Wilson Children's Choir - throughout the school year, 80 singers from Grades 4-8 in schools across the city learn and perform together.  The VOCE Choir (Voices of Catholic Education) performs several times a year.

Bob Wilson Arts Camp - in June of every year, 40 students in Grades 6 and 7 will be chosen to attend a week long camp where they will participate in various activities (music, drama, dance and visual arts).

SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Bob Wilson Music Camp - a four day camp, held in November, will provide an opportunity for 65-70 Grade 10 music students from different schools to experience expert instruction, learn from each other and participate in a culminating performance on the last day of the camp.
