BURSARIES

The Angel Foundation for Learning administers seven Bursaries every year. Click the links below to find out more about each bursary, including how to apply.

Bacchelli Family Bursary

The Bacchelli Family Bursary is a $1,000 bursary designated for a TCDSB student who is a recent immigrant to Canada working to achieve his or her educational dreams through post-secondary education. Read more…

Barry Diemert Music Bursary

The Barry Diemert Music Bursary is an annual award of $2,500 given to a successful graduate of the TCDSB wishing to pursue music education at a university, college or other post-secondary music school. Read more…

Exceptional Student Bursary

This bursary, in recognition of academic achievement and contribution to the school community, provides financial support in the amount of $1,000 towards post-secondary education at the university or college level. Read more…

Mary Jane McKeen Skilled Trades Bursary

This bursary of $500 is awarded each year to a high school student attending a TCDSB school, who has skills and talents working with his or her hands. It helps defray costs associated with pursuing an apprenticeship program or continuing post secondary education in the skilled trades. Read more…

Murdocca Family Literacy Bursary

This bursary, in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded annually to a graduating student who requires financial assistance in order to pursue studies in the area of English at a post secondary institution. Read more…

Tandia Bursary

This bursary is awarded annually to a graduating student who requires financial assistance in order to pursue studies at university or college. The annual amount of the bursary is $1,000. Read more…

Tom Leon Student Bursary

This bursary is awarded annually to two graduating female students and two graduating male students who require financial assistance in order to pursue studies at a post secondary institution. Each award is designated for the cost of tuition in the amount of up to $5,000. The cheque is made payable to the educational institution. Read more…

Barbara and Marek Brodzki Literacy Award

The Barb and Marek Brodzki Literacy Award is a special fund administered through The Angel Foundation for Learning. It will be awarded to an elementary school in order to enhance and expand literacy materials for children with special needs in that school. One award of $500 will be given out yearly. Read more…

George Ermellini Literacy Award

The George Ermellini Literacy Award is a special fund administered through The Angel Foundation for Learning to support innovative programs in family literacy within elementary schools across the TCDSB.  A grant of $500 will be awarded each year. Read more…

Spirit of Inclusion Award

The Spirit of Inclusion Award is administered through The Angel Foundation for Learning. It is designated for a TCDSB student who is deaf or hard of hearing and in Grade 8. This award, which recognizes the spirit of inclusion provides financial support in the amount of $100 towards hearing loss management for costs such as hearing aids, batteries and FM systems.
