Believe in Angels Week
November 25 - November 29, 2024
We are calling all Angels to participate in our Believe in Angels Week this fall.
The Angel Foundation for Learning relies on the generosity of our donors, sponsors and corporate partners so that we can continue to feed hungry students, and assist youth who need help with the cost of basic essentials like groceries, clothing, eye glasses, hearing aids, post-secondary education and much more.
We ask all schools to participate by hosting an event during that week, or participating in one of the board-wide events planned for the week:
Monday, November 25, 2024 - MOVIE MONDAY
Hold a movie afternoon or evening at your school, and send proceeds from ticket or snack sales at your event to AFL.
Tuesday, November 26, 2024 - TOONIE TUESDAY
Collect toonies and other loose change to support AFL.
Wednesday, November 27, 2024 - WALKING/WHEELING WEDNESDAY
Hold a walk (and/or wheel) to school day, or host a walk around the school/school yard/neighbourhood and ask families who can afford to do so, to make a small donation and send proceeds to AFL.
Thursday, November 28, 2024 - THANKFUL THURSDAY
An opportunity to thank your Student Nutrition Program volunteers for all that they do to support children and youth. Celebrate their efforts, or consider a fundraising snack or lunch to help your local nutrition program. AFL will be sharing your Thankful Thursday posts on our social media platforms.
Friday, November 29, 2024 - FESTIVE FRIDAY
Join us at the Angel Foundation for Learning Gala: An Evening to Feed Dreams. More information to come.
Please share the information with everyone in your school community and decide which activities fit in with your local plans.
